Kazia Tyszka-Baxter - Hypnotherapist

About Me

My therapy journey began in 2015 when I completed a diploma in analytical hypnotherapy and psychotherapy and set up my private practice shortly after. Over the course of hundreds of client hours, I have discovered how powerful hypnosis can be when it is centred on the person as an individual. One size most certainly does not fit all, and I believe deeply that the client knows best. It is the client who knows where the pain lies and how to discover the way forward.

I have received training in various therapeutic approaches and can draw upon their philosophies and techniques to create a new therapy for each person. These approaches include, analytical hypnotherapy, humanistic/person-centred therapy, Internal Family Systems Therapy, depth oriented brief therapy, eye movement and desensitisation reprocessing (EMDR), neuro linguistic programming (NLP), Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT or tapping).

As an active therapist I am always evolving and continuously growing in self-knowledge and awareness. I am committed to ongoing supervision and regular continuing professional development courses. I am always learning and keep up to date with current research into hypnosis and psychodynamic therapy. I am particularly interested in neuroscientific studies that help us understand the ancient practice of meditation. This is closely related to the way in which hypnosis trains our mind to change our brains, similar to the way exercise changes our bodies.

I am fully qualified and registered with the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC) which oversees the General Hypnotherapy Register (GHR). I am also registered with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC). I hold full professional indemnity insurance and regularly complete validated continuing professional development courses. I am also a full member of the National Council for Hypnotherapy (NCH).
